Original metallic sticker by Keith Haring featuring his iconic Radiant Baby artwork. These stickers were originally produced for the artist’s debut solo gallery exhibition at Tony Shafrazi Gallery in 1982 and later sold at the Pop Shop, Haring’s commercial boutique project that opened in New York City in 1986, and in Tokyo a year later. Operating under a similar philosophy to how he created his Subway Drawings series, novelty items were sold in an effort to make his artwork accessible beyond the gallery setting. “I wanted it to be a place where, yes, not only collectors could come, but also kids from the Bronx.”
