A very rare zine, self-published and distributed in September 1973 by American writer Kathy Acker. Made as a precursor to her first ever novel, The Childlike Life of the Black Tarantula: Some Lives of Murderesses (1973), this book is an early exemplar of the controversial cut-up literary technique which Acker would become known for later in life. Written under her pseudonym ‘The Black Tarantula’, Acker confesses in the blurb to having plagiarised events from sadist French philosopher Marquis de Sade’s pornographic Philosophy in the Bedroom (1795) book.
